Dog Policy
Dog Attendance Policy – Offset Automotive Show 2026
Sunday 26th April 2026 – Royal Cornwall Events Centre
At Offset Automotive Show, we are committed to delivering a clean, safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees, exhibitors and partners. As part of this commitment, we continually review all aspects of the event experience, including policies relating to animals on site.
Over recent years, we have experienced a significant increase in incidents involving dog fouling across the event grounds. Despite clear expectations placed on dog owners, a number of these incidents have not been properly managed or cleaned up. As a result, we have been required to engage specialist cleaning teams at considerable cost to handle and sanitise affected areas. Beyond the financial impact, this has also negatively affected the experience for other visitors, with dog mess being stepped in, spread across walkways, and detracting from the overall standard of the event.
In light of this, Offset Automotive Show 2026 will be the final year in which dogs are permitted on site under the current policy. This is being treated as a last opportunity for responsible dog ownership to be demonstrated at the event.
Should we receive further reports of dog fouling not being properly cleaned up during the 2026 event, a full site-wide ban on dogs will be implemented from 2027 onwards, with no exceptions.
Policy Overview
Dogs are permitted at Offset Automotive Show 2026 strictly under the following conditions:
1. Owner Responsibility
All dog owners are fully responsible for their animal at all times while on site. This includes behaviour, control, welfare, and—critically—cleanliness.
2. Mandatory Clean-Up
Any dog brought onto the event site must be accompanied by appropriate waste bags or cleaning equipment.
Owners must immediately clean up after their dog in all instances, without exception.
Failure to do so will be treated as a breach of event policy.
3. Enforcement & Fines
Event staff and security teams will be actively monitoring compliance throughout the day.
• Any individual found not cleaning up after their dog will be subject to an on-the-spot fine
• Repeat or serious breaches may result in removal from the event without refund
• CCTV is in operation across the venue and may be used to identify offenders where necessary
4. Indoor Hall & Hospitality Restrictions
Dogs are strictly prohibited within all indoor exhibition halls, including any enclosed structures, display areas, and our premium hospitality space, The Owner’s Circle.
This policy has been in place since 2024 and remains unchanged.
No exceptions will be made under any circumstances, including for brief entry or carrying of animals.
5. Leaving Dogs in Vehicles (Strictly Prohibited)
Under no circumstances are dogs to be left unattended in vehicles on site while owners access restricted areas of the event. This includes, but is not limited to, the indoor exhibition halls and The Owner’s Circle.
Event security teams are authorised by the event organisers to take immediate action where a dog is believed to be at risk. This may include forced entry into a vehicle if deemed necessary to protect the welfare of the animal.
By attending the event, you acknowledge and accept that:
• Any action taken to remove an animal from a vehicle will be at the discretion of event security
• Any resulting damage to vehicles will not be covered or reimbursed by the event organisers or venue
This policy is in place to safeguard animal welfare and will be enforced without hesitation.
6. Service Dogs
Recognised assistance dogs are permitted on site, including within indoor areas where legally required. These must be fully trained, clearly identifiable, and under control at all times.
We respectfully ask that only legitimate assistance dogs are presented as such. Any misuse of this provision will be treated seriously and may result in removal from the event.
All assistance dog handlers remain responsible for maintaining cleanliness and control in line with the expectations outlined in this policy.
7. General Conduct & Safety
All dogs must be kept under control at all times and on a suitable lead. Any aggressive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the site.
Owners should also consider the nature of the event environment, including high footfall, loud noises, moving vehicles and public interaction, and ensure their dog is suitable for such an environment.
Final Notice
Offset Automotive Show is a large-scale, high-footfall public event welcoming thousands of attendees. Maintaining cleanliness, safety and a premium visitor experience is a priority for our organisation.
We are providing this final opportunity for dog attendance in 2026 on the basis that all owners act responsibly and respectfully toward the event, its attendees, and its facilities.
Failure to meet these expectations will result in a permanent ban on dogs from 2027 onwards.
We appreciate the cooperation of all attendees in helping us uphold the standards of Offset Automotive Show.
